Are you 13 years or older and want to write about mental health, entertainment, body positivity, or being LGBTQ+? Submit your writing for a chance to be featured on Buddy Project's website! (This is not a paid position)
We want to give people a platform to talk about their own experience with mental illness, body positivity, and being LGBTQ+. We also want to allow people to write about interests such as music, TV shows, books, Youtube, and more.
You will need to send a pitch for your article to be accepted. We will be reviewing submissions a few times a week, so it could take anywhere from three days to two weeks to hear back (if your pitch is accepted). Unfortunately, we can't post every article since we receive many submissions.
Examples of articles:
Mental Health: For Those of Us Who Aren't "Sick Enough", My Anxious Mind, Social Anxiety isn't a Synonym for Shyness
Entertainment: The Power of Twenty One Pilots, Celebrities and Mental Illness, My Secret Struggle
Body Positivity: The Media's Manipulations are Toxic to Our Society, Changing the Definition of "Bikini Body", No Shave November, The Definition of Beautiful
LGBTQ+: Tips on How to Come Out, An Open Letter to Transgender Teens, Being Agender in a Gendered World,
Submissions are currently closed as we have a lot to go through. We will post a tweet when they are back up. Thank you.
